After one of the biggest announcements of the pre-season, when Cocoon revealed it was moving to Pacha for its 19th summer on Ibiza, details have emerged of the much anticipated opening line-up as Sven Väth and Âme take control of room one and Dana Ruh and Dorian Paic take responsibility of room two. With the first ever Cocoon Pacha party and the fact that the famous venue has undergone a remodel during the winter, this one has captured the imagination of clubbers on and off the island.

Cocoon Ibiza boasts one of the most loyal of followings; build during its 18-year collaboration in Amnesia, cultivating a community feeling amongst them. Whether regular Cocoon attendees, who have cropped into the party on numerous occasions during the duration of its Ibiza love affair, or newbies, experiencing the unique techno party for the first time, everyone is made to feel welcome. Lifelong friendships have been forged on the Cocoon dancefloor and that will continue as it embarks on this exciting new chapter. Dublab return to deliver Cocoon’s trademark visuals, offering a visual element to complement the cutting edge soundtrack.

Pacha is arguably the most famous of the iconic Ibiza venues, celebrating its fiftieth anniversary last year and now under new ownership, with a club remodel that has been kept firmly under wraps, it is playing its part in adding to the build-up to the Cocoon debut. The venue has hosted some of the biggest global club brands throughout its long and distinguished tenure and they don’t come much bigger than Cocoon. The potential of two Ibiza juggernauts combining every Wednesday is one that has music lovers on and off the island salivating. There are still announcements to be made on the full weekly line-up but, once again, Pacha has stolen the headlines as we head into another summer as it gets set to welcome Cocoon. Wednesday May 30 is the date that the collaboration begins and the curtain is raised on the news season and we can’t wait.
