After making waves with sell out mini- festival events in the UK, Jacfest decided to bring its infamous party to the clubbing hub of the world – Ibiza. The brand is naturally making the step forward and boy did the team have big plans for its first season. Jacfest orchestrated a two-day concept for its Ibiza debut, which included a pre-party, boat party and after party at San Antonio’s infamous Eden nightclub on Friday 15th July, and a beach party followed by a secret after party on Saturday 16th July. Clubbers had automatic access to all five Jacfest events with the purchase of one wristband – pretty impressive deal we think! I was off to check out one of the five events – the beach party, and the sun sure was shining for it, which proved a relief for all after the gloomy weather and rain that possessed the island a few days prior.

The daytime beach party was held at The Beach Lounge Bar and beach club, which is situated in the picturesque San Antonio Bay directly on the beach – the venue name couldn’t be more apt! The Beach is the epitome of seaside bliss with its all white decor and double bed loungers covered with white sheets that gently sway in the light sea breeze, and not forgetting the glorious views! Guests are able to slip off via a large wooden plank that leads directly to the sand, where they can access the shimmering blue waters and grasp the plentiful floating boats, all whilst being able to still hear the bar’s music and being apart of the venue’s intimate day to night vibe… a perfect beach party location I’d say!

Kicking off the earlier proceedings were the likes of DJ’s Nicky Fingers and Glen Burgess who set the beach party vibe perfectly. Keen revellers had already made themselves comfortable with cocktails and cold beers in hand, ploughing through the Jacfest hangovers from the night before, and some were already dancing on the sand to the soulful house beats. A white canopy covered the dancefloor area, shading guests from the intense rays, and kept cool several large sofas where revellers relaxed and absorbed the melodic music and beautiful surroundings. As the sun started its descend, a percussionist begun to perform, which received a positive welcome by all, and certainly added to the tropical ambiance.

By this point the venue was filled with happy go lucky clubbers, with more people arriving to join the party’s unique feel-good vibes. Jacproject had now stepped up to the decks taking everyone in to the final phase of the sunset with huge classics such as Kings of Tomorrow’s ‘Finally’ – a big hit with the crowd. Strawberry and melon mojitos were swinging in the moving hands of attendees and the smell of coconut soaked up the air as groups smoked shisha as they shimmied to the euphoric sounds. Fletch continued with the soulful house theme by dropping ‘Lord’ – Ferreck Dawn & Rene Amesz as well as the much loved and nostalgic Flashmob track ‘Need In Me,’ as the Ibiza night lights sparkled in the near distance. It was easy to see that the crowd were a happy bunch who smiled from ear to ear and danced non stop in to the night to the Jacfest sounds. A unique intimate vibe that certainly delivered the beach party we all had come to experience.
