The Vicente Ferrer Foundation (FVF), created by Vincente and Anna Ferrer over 40 years ago, is a development NGO committed to the transformation process of one of the poorest areas of India: the state of Andhra Pradesh. Solidarity lunch will raise much needed funds for villages in rural India. The village, located in the Indian district of Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh), celebrates that 170 families – the vast majority of them, Dalits – already have a decent home to live in. Before the FVF began its work in the area, it was devoid of drinking water, especially during the summer. Likewise, the vast majority of villages in the Kurnool district suffer from a great shortage of water. The colony of 170 houses of M. Kotalla, included in the Housing program of the Foundation in India, will ensure the permanence of a stable population centre, promote social integration and curb emigration. Something very important in a district like Kurnool, where according to the Participatory Identification of the Poor (PiP), carried out by the administration of the region, approximately 60.2% of the homes in the area are poor. Please make your reservations in advance and enjoy a pre-Christmas afternoon out in. one of the island’s finest locations, safe in the knowledge that you are making a difference in other people’s lives.
