After what has been an intense few weeks of Ibiza’s world-famous closing parties, the calendar has begun the inevitable countdown. For many revellers and workers alike, the body might be a little weary, yet the mind is pushing us on to go to take in as many of the incredible line-ups still to be seen as is physically possible. And one party that couldn’t be missed was the Beachouse closing fiesta.

Set between fairy-light draped palm trees on the golden sands of Playa d’en Bossa, the boho chic beach club provided the ultimate laidback set-up. Basking in the magical sounds of Audiofly and Jean Claude Ades with views of the stars above us, the night was unforgettably dreamy and a soothing antidote to the craziness of high season.

Beachouse has been a steady riser when it comes to musical entertainment, and over the years their parties have garnered some serious attention thanks to the cutting-edge curation of the acts that come to play. Teetering on the cusp of making the jump from ‘insider gem’ to ‘talk of the island’, the venue’s monthly gatherings are relished by locals and visitors in the know.

As we arrived via the Aztec-inspired walkway leading us through the dunes, draped in funky murals, the turnout before us was mighty. A mix of the island’s gliteratti, industry people and guests dressed to the nines were dancing away as if nobody was watching. Earlier in the day, sets from Carlos Jurado and Armonica kept the crowd entertained while Audiofly were up when we arrived. Taking hold of the booth placed in the centre of the wooden decking, a scintillating melange of cinematic afro-house and tribal sounds filled our ears, working aptly with the beach settings. The dancefloor was awash with guests in a blissful mood, keeping a spirit of unity alive amongst the sizable turnout.

The beach filled steadily through the night, as guests chatted, lounged and drank the night away to music that was pure artistry from Audiofly. The glamorous venue bathed in pink and purple lights felt a million miles away as the vast sea before us and the glittering sky above enveloped us into what was an intimate yet animated affair. Feeling spectacularly blissed out, we left as things turned up a notch with Be Crazy! visionary Jean Claude Ades behind the decks, who took the night into a spinning crescendo. Reminiscent of exotic shoreside parties, Beachouse is the oasis we’ve all been looking for – a luxurious yet natural haven in Ibiza’s busiest neighbourhood.
