Es Paradis first opened in August 1975 by Pepe Aguirre and artist Lluis Guell, who also created Café Del Mar. Like many of the top Ibizan venues, Es Paradis was famous for its outdoor facilities. The island regulations of 1990 saw the club enclosed and the iconic pyramid roof was born. Visible throughout San Antonio, the extravagant 120 ton roof hints of a magical experience within, which is exactly what Es Paradis delivers. Loosely translated as ‘Heaven On Earth’, the white interior and enormous natural gardens make it one of the islands more spectacular venues and also a popular hang out for celebrities while they are on the island. With four VIP areas, three chill out bars and three dancefloors, there is plenty to keep you entertained once you are under the breathtaking pyramid roof. Es Paradis attracts a younger crowd than most of the other venues but don’t let that put you off, the atmosphere can be electric.
