Defected In The House

Defected fans would have already known that the respected house label was returning to Sunday night in Eden, having seen the event calendar on the label website. They wouldn’t, however, have known the identity of the protagonists that will be take charge of the booth this summer, until now. After what was the triumphant of Ibiza returns, Defected plans to go even bigger this summer and has assembled some of the hottest house artists on the planet to help it do so.

The In Our House We Are All Equal philosophy captured the imagination of househeads from all over the world as they descended on San Antonio for a weekly Sunday sermon. The clubbing roadblock returned to the vibrant resort and then some! The 21-date residency kicks off on Sunday May 20, running to October 7 and will feature Sam Divine, Amine Edge & DANCE, DJ Haus, Low Steppa, Simon Dunmore and Jacky. Defected has also revealed some of the artists that will make up the first 12 of the 21 week series and fans of the four-four beat will be scrambling to grab tickets and make plans for their next Ibiza adventure. Everywhere you look on the list is a world-class artist ready to take the floor on a magical musical journey; from icons of the scene such as Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez and Sandy Rivera to innovators such as Dennis Ferrer, Karizma, Ninetoes, Camelphat and residents Simon Dunmore, Sam Divine, Franky Rizardo and Dario D’Attis.

Having dominated dancefloors in many of Ibiza’s iconic venues, Eden Ibiza was the choice for the return in 2017 and, after a few raised eyebrows at the initial announcement, it proved to be a match made in clubbing heaven. Numerous roadblock parties punctuated a dream return season and the booming sound system in the imposing Eden Ibiza main room was put through its paces by some of the most exciting performers on the global scene. Revealing the first phase of its summer line-up, Defected has made its intentions very clear and no one sums up the labels love affair with the clubbing capital better than head honcho Simon Dunmore; “House music is our calling. Ibiza is our mecca. No boundaries, no prejudice. Our dance floor is a unifier. In Our House We Are All Equal.”
