The open air restaurant/ bar/ lounge in the heart of the Ibiza countryside has become a popular destination for the discerning music lovers and island tourists/ residents who don’t need to know what the latest trend is to be cool! The venue offers an amazing al fresco dining experience and has world class entertainment programmed throughout the week, if you like to enjoy a cocktail after dinner and are not too bothered about getting an early night.
Tuesday night is Wax Da Jam, home to Nightmares On Wax and a legion of talented DJs, producers and musicians who pass through at various points in the season. Tonight, NOW’s DJ E.A.S.E. is joined by fellow DJ Negghead, world class percussionist and Drum Warrior, Shovel as well as accomplished drummer and regular guest Wolfgang Haffner. Wax Da Jam is one of the most popular island parties outside of the big clubs, where like minded people gather, enjoy each others company, drink delicious cocktails and listen to some of the most talented performers on the planet. Tonight’s opening party is clearly a popular choice, the dinner tables have sold out, the outside bar is mobbed and people are already gathering inside the lounge.
Nothing says summer better than enjoying your dinner under the stars and in Aura you have one of the finest outdoor restaurants on the island. The menu is extensive, the quality is unsurpassed, the service is first class and the surroundings are unbeatable. How many times have you been in a restaurant and enjoyed yourself so much that you didn’t want to leave, wishing there was something more? Aura delivers exactly that, after enjoying our dinner at a leisurely pace we retire to the outside bar where cocktails are the order of the day. Food is replaced by good conversation as the focal point of the group and when we can resist the lure of the music no more we head into the lounge.
Aura is a stunning, fully air conditioned late night venue, Wax Da jam is in full swing with Shovel and Wolfgang interacting with the beats perfectly, providing a live element to the proceedings. The music is on a slightly down tempo classic R&B, soul and funk tip with a modern twist and is going down well with the capacity crowd that has turned out. It’s the perfect way to end the evening for us and clearly it is the reason for many of the guests making the trip into the countryside. The crowd is slightly older than a typical Ibiza party and the cool, laid back atmosphere is much more civilised. The long bar means getting served is never a problem, even although it is busy, so more delicious cocktails are never too far away. As a concept it is genius and as a party, it’s not hard to work out why Wax Da Jam is one of the most popular nights on the island. Bring on next Tuesday!
