Toby Clarke spent his formative years on Ibiza ensuring a happy childhood and a desire to return to the island one day. Having returned several times on holiday before returning to the island of his birth permanently, Toby has a dream of opening eyes to the spiritual side of the island.
One of his many passions is showcasing some of the island’s breathtaking scenery through his Walking Ibiza service. Inspired by a friends request to walk around the coastline of the island, an adventure that took 11 days and delivered a life changing moment, Toby and his wife Belinda now provide the opportunity to experience Ibiza in a unique and unforgettable way. Essential Ibiza track the intrepid explorer down and get the low down on Walking Ibiza…
What does a typical walk entail?
Above all the walks are about having fun, meeting great people and of course seeing the amazing island of Ibiza. Walks are generally between 8-14Km’s and take between 3-5 hours. Each walk is decided upon depending on the weather, wind conditions, who is on the walk etc. The walks are done at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for taking pictures, looking at the amazing views and resting on the up-hill parts!
How fit do you have to be to take part in one of your walks?
A good general level of fitness is required; my walks are at a leisurely pace so even if you have not done exercise for some time they are suitable. There can be some steep paths, which may be tiring but plenty of rest breaks along the way will make the walks possible to most.
How would you describe your normal clientele?
People who love the outdoors and maybe need a little push to ‘get out there’ and see this wonderful island, and are not sure where to walk.
