As the dust settles on Diynamic Neon Night’s successful debut in Sankeys Ibiza, Solomon has some time to reflect on the last few months on the island. The label that was launched just six years ago has become a standard bearer for quality house music and Tuesday night in Playa d’en Bossa became the place to hear it this summer. Legions of fans turned out on a weekly basis, filled the huge basement and paid homage to one of the most exciting DJ/ producers around at the moment. Along with a list of artists and friends from his label, Solomun made a huge impact on Ibiza in 2012. Essentialibiza caught up with the talented German not long after the closing party…
Diynamic Neon Night recently completed its debut Ibiza season in Sankeys, how was it?
Yeah! It was really a nice experience. For most of our Artists it has been their first time on the Island and everybody has been under a spell! I think everybody will miss it but maybe we’re coming back soon.
What makes Sankeys the perfect venue for your party?
I like the atmosphere; the people and also that I can play with my crew! The club is different and we like the intimacy, that’s the reason why we concluded to do our Neon parties at Sankeys.
How does the Ibiza crowd compare to others around the world?
The people who are coming to our night, knows us and our sound, that is, for us, very thankful, because we can play exactly what we play everywhere else without any pressure. But, on top, the island is a magic place and maybe that is the reason why the people are extra euphoric, it’s a perfect combination.
Is the island still the best place to break new music?
To be honest, the sound on the island at the clubs in the last two years wasn’t really up to date with what’s going on in the scene globally, on the radio shows yes, but not always in the clubs. That was the reason they talked all about the change this year and it’s an honor to be part of this. The feedback is amazing.
What has been the highlight of the season for you?
Our first Diynamic Neon Party! It was the opening party and nobody thought that so many people would come! It was just amazing! And believe it or not, we grew with every party and the level was always very high and everybody was outstanding. I still cannot believe how well they responded to our party. I’m really proud!

Breakfast, beach and a perfect night with good music!
Diynamic has captured hearts and imagination throughout the world in a relatively short space of time, has this surprised you?
When we founded the label almost 6 years ago, I think none of us expected that we would be in the position we are now 6 years later. I feel very blessed that our music is appreciated. We always did what we loved and I think that that people recognized that and loved it too. What are your hopes for the label? That we remain a family and stay well, then we will see what comes next!
