Smack make up and hair agency is the creative agency in Ibiza, Sara Muhammad and Corina Louise Smith are the duo responsible for this forward thinking company – they are the go-to girls in Ibiza whether it be for a wedding, fashion editorial, or styling the dancers for the super clubs. They have built their company up to be strong and resilient, growing each year, they work with a team of freelancers who help them across the island as the summer reaches its peak and their company runs at full capacity. Smack is the name you will hear as the island whispers its magical wind, whether its for the creatives who come out to shoot fashion, the lovers who come to wed or the feisty fiestas, they are all chatting Smack.

Smack is the ladies who style the hair and makeup looks for the parties of Ibiza. They work for DC10 and Amnesia creating the looks for the Paradise and Cocoon dancers. I am continually on the look out for the next great look, and when I went to dance at the Paradise party I was transfixed by the dancers, their looks were like no other on the White Isle. Between Smack and Kim Nolan, stylist and designer, the girls achieved a vision of new age DISCO. Ice blue hooded one pieces, metallic jackets and mirrored tops, with makeup to compliment each outfit, the dancers were disco ready.

We are in a Disco revival, and the Paradise looks have captured that perfectly. Jamie Jones and Hot Creations Paradise party has made a fabulous mark on the White Isle, the party is inspired by the original Paradise Garage that dominated the New York club scene from the late 70’s to the late 80’s, launching the music genre that would spread throughout the world and influence a generation to come, it was the largest and most powerful domination of original disco spirit. Known for its marathon Saturday night sets the clubs disciples came to dance, not to drink or pose, while gospel/diva voices preached love. Miss Nolan created the outfits, when designing she was inspired by Paco Rabanne’s iconic 1960’s metallic Barbarella dress, and Blue marines 2012 collection. The Paradise girls are for me by far the hottest dancers on the island. The outfits were based on a ‘futuristic paradise in another dimension, a holographic parallel reality’.

I caught up with the Smack girls to find out what inspired their hot creations… “The Paradise makeup was inspired by beautiful strong women,” they revealed. “We designed a bold turquoise glitter to line under the eye, represented by our interpretation of ‘birds of paradise,’ which to us would have lots of hues of blue skies. This colour also complimented the costumes made for the dancers. Another bold statement with the makeup was strong black graphic eyeliner and lashes; this represented the strong women against the beauty and glitter of turquoise liner. Then we contoured the cheeks and highlighted the cheekbones.”
