Tarecos is a great concept – buying and selling interesting and beautiful used goods. They work in selling second hand items in perfect condition. Trotting to the market on a Saturday morning I noticed this great boutique on the side of the road. The first time I shopped here I had no idea the items were second hand… Tarecos only sells the best quality pieces; one would think they are nothing other than new!
This is a store that cannot be put into a particular category of shopping, because it can be anything that you want it to be, a dress shop, a hat shop, a furniture store, or even a florist, yes Tarecos is a concept store, but it is also a way of living. Recycling with a great eye! Selling vintage clothes from many different eras, loveable lampshades and mesmerising mirrors, tiny tables and charming chairs. Once prized processions of their previous owners now waiting for new homes.
Owner of Tarecos Ibiza, Nayra Carvaca, has created a dream store, giving a second chance to an eclectic variety of goods; shell wall hangings, kitsch cabinets and roaming rocking horse chairs! Moroccan lanterns, costume jewellery, seductive ceramic pots, art work filling the walls, and chicas, shoes, shoes, shoes! Only of the fabulous variety of course! We are proud of our creative crowd here in Ibiza, the artisans and hippies decided to reside, the designers and the artists set up home and with them they brought things! Recycling items, restoring them with love and care and selling them onto a new fabulous life! So ladies and gentleman if you share my thinking of ‘one chicks trash is another chicks treasure’ trot down to Tarecos and you will be sure to find someone else’s used treasure at a great price! Tarecos is a family business, another Tarecos treasure trove lies on the shores of La Palma in the Canary Islands, owned by Nayra’s mother, Elena Orozco. These two chicas have created a great way to shop that is good for the environment, and great for our homes, wardrobes and gardens. The creative duo also donates 0.7% to NGO Palm, helping those who are most in need. This store is one of the reasons with why Ibiza shopping is one of the best in Europe. Thank you.
