Sluiz is a wonderful store in Santa Gertrudis, a warehouse style store bursting with colour, full to the roof tops with EVERYTHING from homewear to womenswear – this multipurpose Dutch store has everything you could ever wish for. Sluiz is more of a lifestyle, it has an outside space with the most wonderful furniture and a nuts clothes department with many different designers showing their capsule collections. It is officially where every fashionable chica needs to arrive. There is a fabulous shoe department not forgetting the coffee/juice/cocktail or cactus bar and a quaint little restaurant. With two stores under their belt (the other on the road to Sant Josep) SLUIZ is the only place to go for your on-island style essentials. Owned by a Dutch couple, Yvonne and Hans, with their distinctive Dutch style, the store has been a great success from the very first day it opened it’s doors in 2006. This wonderful place sells almost anything you could wish for, from Moroccan inspired crockery to ridiculously charming rugs, customized Ibicenco baskets to going fishing in style with brightly coloured fishing nets! The outdoor furniture is cleverly classic with a modern twist. Neon pink Budha’s line the walls and seductive swans are sitting pretty. Please take a skip up to Santa Gertrudis or a stroll down to Sant Josep if only to look at the fabulous new designers they now stock.
