Atzaro opened its fashionable doors yet again and this time it was in the name of jewellery and felt. With an array of jewellery designers on show I was spoiled with gems, silver and gold! Pure Form brings together twelve international jewellery designers together to show their respective collections. The ‘Art In Motion’ show offered the chance to view luxury jewellery in the stunning surroundings of this country hotel.
Designers at Pure Form included Emma Chapman, who also shows at London Fashion Week, but this travelling chica is based in India. Her collection is a burst of colour mixed with gold, with precious and semi precious stones. I am in love! Also featured is Joy Jewellery by Cyd. A gold and silver fusion in the name of love, and Eleanor Forster’s chain making glory with luxurious gem stone necklaces.
The designer showing was Felt by Natalie. Dutch born, this chick is a girl after my own heart; she is all about rocking the natural thing! Her mantra – “Natural colours, wild fibres in sensual motion”. She uses felt, creating seamless couture dresses. Calculating the shrinkage she moulds the dresses together with a fusion of Mongolian wool and silk fed into the felt and compressed with heat. Her dresses are a masterpiece.
Now for my favourite part. Listening to Natalie talk about the way she dyes her felt silk fused dresses was simply amazing. Only using natural dyes, using plants and vegetables from the White Isle, this chica dyes with onions, cabbage and kukuma spice! Eco printing with leaves and petals, so that the finished look is a complete natural beauty.
These dresses are natural couture, I really was totally inspired. These dresses are made (quite literally ) from Ibiza. Essential Style is in LOVE! A colour palette of pastel browns, greys, pinks and oranges, with Mongolian fur serving as a trim, these dresses are 100% unique! Styled with the pure form jewellery designers and fabulous tribal style make up and hair by Smack Ibiza. This show was a fusion of natural fabrics and gem stones from our home shores and treasures from across the world!
