Privilege is no stranger to an opening party, the world’s biggest club has been delivering them for as long as we can remember. Privilege opening 2012 on June 1, however, brings with it something very special indeed; the launch of the Vista Room and Vista box, as well as a host of top stars entertaining the massive main room.
The Privilege main room can be likened to an aircraft hanger in size, it is a vast empty space before the clubbers are allowed in. Last summer we were given entry before they opened the main doors and to see it all set up and ready to go is a real eye opener. Once the doors are open it soon fills up and the amazing atmosphere that we know and love is created. The huge DJ booth in the middle of the room is the focal point, until the theatre starts and all eyes turn to the magical performers.
Summer 2012 promises to be a big one and the line up for the opening party is testament to that; Markus Schulz, John Dahlback, DJ Oliver, Nalaya Live and Oriol Calvo will deliver the opening salvo as the huge venue gets set for another record breaking season. This year brings the launch of the Vista Room and Box and June 1 offers the first opportunity to see it in action. The huge glass front of the Vista Room delivers another of those Ibiza moments that we are happy to go on about, it allows clubbers in the middle of the dancefloor to enjoy the sun rising. Hosted by Elrow, it features Hernan Cattaneo, Supernova, Riva Starr, Marco Maya, Tony Varga, Oscar Aguilera, De la Swing, Raul Mezcolanza and Mario Biani and promises to be a popular addition to the super club.
The Vista Box is the former restaurant and will play host to on-island heroes, new names that are starting to create a bit of a buzz about the island. June 1 sees the first batch of local heroes take control of the box, including the likes of Javi Munoz, Manu Gonzalez, Tuccillo and Miguel Garj. All winter the powers that be have been working furiously to bring something special to the loyal Privilege regulars and the clock has almost counted down to kick off, summer here we come!
