Nassau Full Moon Fashion

The Nassau Full Moon party is one of the most popular on Playa D’en Bossa. It may not have the capacity of some of its bigger neighbours but the tickets for the full moon are snapped up instantly, such is the expectation for this event. Ibiza is rightly famous for her sunsets, they are stunning but, truth be told, they come around on a daily basis. The full moon, however, is a sight to see and they are very limited throughout the season. Nassau is perfectly placed on Playa D’en Bossa to witness the moon as it climbs from the horizon, providing a truly spiritual atmosphere as it does so.

Nassau has become THE place to celebrate this amazing sight, it offers a delicious meal followed by dancing and on this occasion a fashion show from Reina & Roses. The standard of food in this beach restaurant is a match for anything on the island, no matter what your palate craves. The fusion menu offers a multitude of choices and the Tepanyaki produces some of the finest sushi on the island. After the formalities of eating and drinking have been seen to, it’s time to settle in and enjoy the fashion show, Essentialibiza’s fashion editor Charlotte Kennedy is there to bring you all the info…

In a haze of neon pinks, the beach club is adorned in shells, the perfect backdrop to a summer show. It is THE place to dine, with a selection of fine dining and Tepanyaki on offer; you can enjoy a mix of Mediterranean cuisine or drift off in an Asian purple haze. Listening to the summer beats of the live DJ set. A catwalk is placed through the restaurant extending out onto to the beach; the girls marched under the moonlight with a colour palette of greys, greens, blacks, whites, blues and reds. Think Desert Queen meets Boho princess; oversized flower headpieces and floor length silks float across the beach club.

Reina and Roses designer Bridgette Fussy comes from the mountains of Bavaria. Producing the forever spring/summer collections in Bali, she designs feminine dresses for the new bohemian. Using only the finest silks and natural cottons, with each item individually hand printed, there is a real uniqueness about Reina and Roses. Boho chic eat your heart out, this lady has it nailed. It’s clear to see Reina and Roses are all about summer. Bridgette explains how her collections are inspired by sunsets, sunrises and music of the fabulous Island of Ibiza. This show was styled to perfection with a fusion of different Reina & Roses collections thanks to the help of Jennifer Regnier, running the Nassau Reina & Roses store, she too styles and organises the monthly shows.

With studded bags complimenting the dresses, I loved the head-to-toe white look, draped in cottons with a pareo wrapped up as a head peice. This was summer with a dessert queen touch! With traditional Balinese parasols in an array of colours these, girls looked every bit the Boho Princess! I loved the separate arm sleeves, which can be worn on the upper arm. The blues and reds fused together in a beautiful one off, unique printed gown. These pieces are versatile, being worn to a great Ibiza party or one of our amazing beaches…. The woman who dresses from the Reina and Roses range is strong, yet feminine. Theses pieces are effortlessly chic. With wide length silk trousers and wonderful silk printed tops and Bikinis under string vests adorned in flowers, each look was paraded down the catwalk with careful consideration.

So, after ten years of summer, Reina and Roses are forever strong. With their main store on the road to Santa Eularia which is an Aladdin’s cave of treasures, please take a look at all of the wonders that lay inside! For me Reina & Roses are Ibiza Fashion, they encompass Ibiza’s free spirit, sunshine and beauty. I can’t wait for the next full moon!
