In the depths of Playa den Bossa, on the quieter side of town, sits a beach club adorned in shells. Nassau Beach is the perfect place to dine, whether you are trotting off from the beach for some light lunch or spending the evening in the Tepanyaki lounge. The neon pinks, the range of aromas and the palm trees standing tall guide you through a sensory feast! With house beats serving as a background lull mixed with the waves crashing on the shore, Nassau Beach really is a heavenly place.
Being a dedicated beach babe, my favourite way to shop is of course on the beach. Ibiza is notorious for its beach side shopping, little Aladdin’s caves are sprinkled over the island like gold dust, sparkling on the shores, lighting the way for the on trend ladies to shop this summer while beaching on the White Isle. The shore of Playa den Bossa is home to many beach clubs such as Ushuaia, La Plage and Sands, to name a few. Tucked away in each one is a little boutique, showcasing the designers of Ibiza, the beach clubs sell clothes for the sunshine, pieces to adorn yourself from beach to bar, day to night and everything in between.
Attending the full moon fashion shows at Nassau beach, I stumbled across this great boutique. Nassau beach boutique is neatly placed running down the side of the restaurant; let me tell you ladies, here you have a perfect place to shop. This beach boutique is Reina & Roses beach side shop, because darling, one always needs a beach side option! Their main shop is on the Santa Eularia road (just look out for those shocking pink Balinese parasols lining the road and you know you have arrived). Nassau beach boutique is bursting with treasures, the walls are lined with Reina & Roses summer 2012 collection in a fusion of printed silk floor length dresses, Capella mini dresses, a range of trousers in the way of hareems, tops and embroidered boleros, beach cover ups and seductive leather wear. A real favourite of mine is their snakeskin lap top bags coming in greys and browns. They have something for every beach bunny, if you want to float through a forest of greens or be drenched in aqua blues, or make a statement in black and white, look no further Reina & Roses is all that you need.
I was enchanted; as you step into the space it feels as if you have fallen down a rabbit hole. The most colorful, stylish and elegant of rabbit holes. The boutique also stocks Ibiza based designers, a selection of brightly colored tie dyed silk kaftans and beautiful ‘Island Bracelets’, a full silver 925 disc with a cut out island, Ibiza of course, sitting on a thin leather rope, also coming in gold plated, rose gold and Zirconia stones. These little bracelets serve as a great gift to take home from our fabulous little island. The store also has rows of beautiful beaded necklaces.
The beach boutique also has a great selection of colourful bikinis in a large assortment of colours prints and styles. If it is a beach pareo that you are after, this boutique has the perfect natural cotton wraps. Also selling a great range of beach bags, day bags and evening bags, from studded fringed leather to a selection of bold brightly coloured cotton mirrored bags, which I instantly fell in love with, adorned in embroidery, shells and vintage fabrics they are a true must have in Ibiza this summer. If you are spending a day at the beach, wanting to enjoy a spot of lunch and pick up a wonderful little something for yourself, this corner of heaven has everything you hope to find on one of those perfect lazy afternoons in Ibiza.
