Sunday September 16 saw Atzaro’s popular Music and Sushi lounge close its doors for this season and the island was out in force to say its goodbyes. Atzaro is quite possibly the most stunning venue on an island blessed with stunning venues, set in the heart of the countryside; it offers a unique escape and a tranquil retreat with options galore. In the Music & Sushi lounge they have an amazing space that can accommodate numerous parties, whether it be an intimate dinner or a full-blown musical showcase. Tonight, it is all about the venue itself as it says its farewells until next year.
As well as the island turning out for the closing, many of the DJs that have starred in the numerous events throughout the summer were also in attendance, making sure that the last party went with a bang! DJ Howard, Ohm-G, Bruno fro Ibiza, Sasa Mendone and Anna Tur, took turns, ensuring that the party people had plenty of reasons for getting on the dancefloor. The Music & Sushi bar looked fantastic, red lights giving it a warm glow as it made its crowd feel at home in the luxurious surroundings. Huge draped beds and comfortable booths were filled with happy people, enjoying the space for the last time, catching up with old friends and reliving some of the high points of the summer.
There was also plenty of Sushi being consumed, courtesy of Sushi Point, delicious platters were on almost every table and rounds of hierbas were in constant supply, which added to the party atmosphere. Acrobats performed above us and the DJs dropped tune after tune, ensuring that the dancing went on into the small hours. The Music & Sushi Lounge is one of the most popular destinations for those that want to get away from the madness of the Ibiza summer and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in which to get their party on. Throughout the summer it witnesses a stream of great events, from the numerous fashion shows that took place on the Atzaro runway, situated below the lounge, to events such as Urban in Ibiza, which utilised the lounge to the maximum, using every available bit of space, either to host one of its galleries or for a stage which showcased the host of talented live musicians on show.
Atzaro Music & Sushi lounge does exactly what is says on the tin, it offers amazing sushi with musical accompaniment and it’s a concept that has proved to be hugely popular with many of the islanders, as well as the vast number of tourists that stay in the hotel throughout the season. The atmosphere at the closing party was as good as it has been all season, partly because everyone knew it was the final chance to enjoy the space this summer, partly because the DJs were on fire and partly because of the trays of hierbas that were being downed but the resulting party was a fitting farewell to the Music & Sushi lounge.
