La Galeria Elefante, is made up of a number of rooms, show rooms come living spaces for your shopping and cultural pleasures. Owned by Victoria Durre Gasse and Sharon Bar – these ladies call themselves ‘nomadic drifters’, ‘stargazers’, ‘weavers and traders’ and ‘global travellers’, and that they are; they travel, collect and sell to the wanderers and holiday makers of Ibiza. Open since 2010, this is a world of interiors you just must visit!
They have created a shop that will make the hairs on your arm and the back of your neck stand on end. A Spanish Finca of never ending rooms, La Galeria Elefante is quite an experience. There is a room dedicated to clothing, another to a gallery space, a Balinese themed bedroom, as well as an outside space full of things to decorate the outside world from a Romany cart on wheels, tables and chairs for a chic dining experience to the perfect parasol.
La Galeria Elefante has a great selection of neon mirrored bags, a room full of clothes with different collections from an array of designers. Tribal wall hangings, comic book decorated furniture, a wonderful Balinese style enclosed bed and beautiful children’s clothes made up of printed Kimonos from vintage Asian fabrics. Each room has a different theme; it feels like you are entering a maze of treasures. A boutique come, art gallery, come home, come Yoga space. This is the only way to shop in Ibiza, immerse yourself in Ibicenco culture, enjoy a visionary gallery space of African tribal art and trot through to the other rooms at your browsing pleasure. With monthly art exhibitions held here, this space serves as a creative monthly meet. Showcasing Jerome Ferrier – on island photographer ‘Portraits and Landscapes’ exhibition and Formentera photographers Paola Cane & Angelo Peirsimoni. Also Galeria Elefante holds weekly Yoga classes.
