Monday May 21 sees French photographer Jérome Ferrier present his book ‘Ibiza Portraits’ in Atzaró, with cocktails served from 7-10PM. The stunning hotel provides the backdrop for the showcase of some of Jérome’s Ibiza work and in keeping with Jérome’s mischievous side, there will also be an after party. Our recent interview with Jérome, ‘Capturing Life’ has become one of the most liked on the essentialibiza site so this showcase promises to be a busy one. The talented photographer has a keen eye for a picture and an ability for capturing a moment.
Having spent a lot of his life traveling, Jérome has spent time in many parts of the world, camera in hand, capturing images of his travels and experiences. More recently he has made Ibiza his home and in his book offers an insight into some of the images he has captured since moving to the island. During a recent interview with essentialibiza, Jérome spoke on living on the island; “I feel deeply European these days and feel living in Europe, not really for the economy but for the culture. Ibiza is the best compromise for me, a great mixture of cultures and influences. The weather and the light are fantastic with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. I also really enjoy the lifestyle, mixing the party life and the country life. There is a lot of tolerance and freedom in the air compared to many other places in the world.”
