Space Ibiza has released details of its celebrated closing extravaganza this Sunday October 7 2012. Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin headline the massive event that features a number of the season’s heroes. Carl Cox enjoyed his eleventh season of Tuesday night roadblock parties, where many of his friends from the electronic world regularly dropped in to say hello and blow the roof of the famous old venue. Richie Hawtin, in the meantime, was loking forward to his debut season with his Thursday night residency, Enter. The simple but stylish Enter black dot captured headlines throughout the summer with a series of amazing performances, groundbreaking adventures inside the club and the odd genius guerrilla marketing exploits around the island.
As I write this, construction is already underway, transforming the Space car park into a majestic outdoor arena that delivers the ultimate festival atmosphere. The one thing you need when you create a festival site is enough talent to fill all of the arenas and the Space closing has talent coming out of its ears! Everywhere you look there is a superstar DJ/ producer, including the likes of Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli, Joris Voorn, Magda, Nina Kraviz, Radio Slave and Wally Lopez, to name only a few. Festivals also mean live music and once again it has it in spades with performances to look forward to from Guy Gerber, Gaiser, Matador and Saytek.
