It’s Saturday afternoon in Ibiza, the sun is high in the sky and Nassau, one of our favourite beach spots, is celebrating its fifth birthday. In a short period of time Playa D’en Bossa has undergone a regeneration that has seen it likened to South Beach Miami. The long stretch of golden sand that runs through the resort is now littered with top class beach clubs, bars and restaurants and Nassau Beach is one of the standard bearers for the area. People come from all over the island to the classic beach venue where they enjoy the finest service, whether it be to their luxury beach beds or to their table in either of the top class restaurants. Tonight it celebrates its fifth birthday and Essentialibiza is on hand to help them blow out their candles!
Nassau has become a popular night time destination since it launched its cool evening entertainment program last summer. It has had a reputation for throwing the odd costume party here and there, the Full Moon party being one of the most popular away from the island’s numerous super clubs. However, last summer saw Nassau open its doors later and introduced regular parties to compliment the existing themed events and it has been a huge success. It has become a nocturnal destination for a discerning clientele and tonight its loyal crowd has turned out in force to celebrate its birthday as Nassau goes disco!
Saturday Night Fever has come to Playa D’en Bossa as Tony Manero look-alikes do the hustle to the classic disco sound track that has us all tapping our feet! The Nassau dancers are a picture of seventies chic, and have the moves down, obligatory one arm in the air, encouraging the rest of us to get involved, which we duly do! From Grease Is The Word to Staying Alive, the trip back to the seventies is just what the doctor ordered as Nassau delivers yet another amazing themed party, disco fever has gripped Playa D’en Bossa. When the sparklers in the birthday cake finally go out, it’s time for us to call it a day. Happy Birthday Nassua, here’s to another fantastic year!
