The Hepatitis C Trust’s flagship awareness campaign Get Tested! is going to be at We Love at Space in Ibiza for the 4th year running this coming Sunday 15 July. This year they are handing out wristbands with QR codes to get out important information to keep clubbers safe.
Darren Hughes, Mark and Sarah Broadbent who run the seminal dance night, recognize the link between the sometimes hedonistic clubbing lifestyle and the hepatitis C virus and are keen to offer their support to help raise awareness of this silent disease that causes cancer and liver failure. Since they started their alliance with The Hepatitis C Trust, We Love… have raised over €10K for the charity and have provided platform to help educate thousands of clubbers about staying safe while having fun and what do if they think they might have been at risk.
“We take our customers health seriously but we also know that people aren’t going to read leaflets when they are out in a club. The wristband with the QR code takes you straight to a webpage on The Hepatitis C Trust’s website which lists all the risk factors and gives you 20 important facts about the condition,” says Sarah Broadbent.
