Ibiza Insiders is a brand new concept, brought to the island this summer by Sam and Marco, the boys behind Alternative Promotions, a successful events and marketing company in the UK. The idea behind Ibiza Insiders is pretty much summed up in the name; they are giving people the chance to see Ibiza from inside the velvet rope, to gain access to bar and club VIP as part of a unique experience that kicks off with a sunset dinner and finishes up on the dancefloor of one of the island’s famous clubs. Tonight sees the launch and they invited Essentialibiza along for the ride.
We caught up with the Ibiza Insiders at Savannah, they had just enjoyed a stunning sunset dinner along the strip at Kanya and had now set up camp in a VIP section behind the DJ booth in Savannah. With 75 Insiders turning up for the fist tour, the boys are delighted. The beautiful Ibiza Insider girls are looking after everyone, making sure glasses are full and shots are in regular supply. So much so that the Kaya body painting crew, based in Savannah, has joined in the party. There’s no better way to make new friends than hitting a few of Ibiza’s cooler spots with them, drinking shots. The party is already in full swing as we finally leave the sunset strip and head to the next port of call, Plastik.
Even the walk from Savannah to Plastik is fun, banter flows as we make our way past the marina, through San Antonio’s main square and along the front of the port. Plastik is already quite busy by the time we land; adding another 75 people into the mix instantly lifts the atmosphere a notch or three. The Ibiza Insiders take to the dancefloor and the party fires up once again. More shots? Oh, go on then. There’s a real party atmosphere amongst the group, and when you consider this is the first night of the concept and most of the people have never met each other before, it’s not hard to work out that the boys are on to a winner. It helps that Marco and Sam are friendly and laid back and get involved with the group, it also does no harm that the Ibiza Insiders girls are pretty hot and also very cool, getting involved in the party. It’s not a completely unique concept but the way that the Ibiza Insiders differs is that it works with some of the finer venues and parties on the island, offering the perfect night out. Next stop, Es Paradis, for the Fiesta Del Agua or water party for you and I!
Again, no problem in getting into the club and once inside we have a section all to ourselves, I believe it is the main elevated VIP section looking right down the room. Perfect! We can get involved in the main party with the option to return to our smaller, more intimate party whenever we choose. It’s still relatively early, by Ibiza club time, so the rest of the club is only just starting to fill up. The advantage of being an Ibiza Insider is that our party is packed and in full swing, just waiting for the rest of the club to catch up, which it does in good time. The Fiesta Del Agua is a popular Friday night party but even so, there are clearly a few amateurs that haven’t been before, wearing their best clobber to a night that drenches you from head to toe before you leave the building. Shorts (preferably swimming) and t-shirt is the only way to fly for this one.
The whole night has flown by, from the amazing dinner at Kanya for sunset to the start of the shot-drinking marathon in Savannah with the Kaya body painters to the dance off in Plastik and now Es Paradis. The night has flowed perfectly from start to finish, clearly Marco and Sam had done their homework well in advance and with other packages available across other nights, this is going to be one of those must have Ibiza experiences. For now, it’s time to hit the main room floor and get our soak on!
Ibiza Insiders will be offering different packages, depending on the night you want to go and the club you fancy ending up in, so far they are working exclusively with Eden and Es Paradis but there are plans to adapt the tours even further.
