Departure arrived in Ibiza last summer and made a great impression during their debut year on the rooftop of Itaca in San Antonio. This summer sees the party return to the rooftop as well as adding four appearances in Playa D’en Bossa at Sankeys Carnival party. The Manchester based party has come a long way in a short space of time and 2012 promises to be another exciting season in its evolution.
Summer 2011 seen Departure capture the imagination of crowds in San Antonio with their rooftop party in Itaca. Concentrating on a staple diet of worker DJs, complimented throughout the season with numerous guests, Departure became one of the most popular smaller parties on the island, grabbing the loyalty of the workers. With a similar ethos for this summer, it looks like the much sought after worker crowd will be returning to the rooftop.
With the San Antonio residency running smoothly, Deoarture has captured the attention of one of the world’s biggest club brands, Sankeys. After their own debut season, which saw the clubbing heavyweights capture a proper underground following last summer, Sankeys returns with an even bigger line up for summer 2012. As part of its programme of underground goodness, Sankeys has invited Departure to share four of their much talked about Carnival parties, which will see the Departure DJs appear alongside the likes of Adam Shelton, Russ Yallop and Jordan Peak I the newly refurbished Spektrum room, while Booka Shade, DJ Sneak, Basement Jaxx and Miguel Campbell are amongst the headliners.
