Café Mambo has become the latest Ibiza heavyweight to get behind the Burn Studios Initiative, joining the likes of Privilege, Beatport, Mixmag and SAE Institute in supporting the next generation of electronic music talent and giving promising young DJs and producers a welcome help in realising their ambition and taking their talent to the next level.
Burn Studios launched early in 2012, offering DJs across the world to compete for a place in a gruelling bootcamp on the island, with the ultimate carrot of receiving a residency at one of the island’s esteemed establishments, Privilege or Café Mambo. Thousands of entries were received from all across the world and numerous ‘mix off’ events produced eleven finalists who made their Ibiza debut at the IMS earlier in the season. They will return to the island shortly where they will be taught by the likes of Sasha, Luciano, 2manydjs and Jamie Jones before three are awarded a prestigious residency.
As part of the partnership, Burn announced that they are working with Café Mambo on a project that will support musical creativity and innovation in Ibiza. They are in the process of establishing a creative hub that will offer free, state of the art, Mambo Studio services all year round, whether you are a new or established DJ/ producer.
Christian Anadon, Café Mambo: “We are excited about our new relationship with Burn on the development of their residency program and looking forward to making outstanding studio facilities available on Ibiza’s sunset strip. We have an exciting summer coming ahead!”
Erik Hofstaedter, Burn marketing manager, Europe added: “We’re thrilled to have Café Mambo on board as the latest partner venue for burn studios Residency. As one of the most loved and respected institution on the island, working with them to offer one of our residents the opportunity of a lifetime, and invest in the future with the new facilities, is indicative of burn studio’s long term dedication to the electronic music scene.”
