Pete Tong has announced details of his first compilation of the Ibiza season, ‘All Gone Ibiza 2012’, out now on Defected Records. The double album feature Pete Tong and Booka Shade and includes two exclusive productions from the talented Germans as well as upfront tracks from the likes of Hot Chip, Scuba, Little Dragon, Nina Kraviz, Tensnake, Matador, Eats Everything, Joe Goddard, Blondish and many more.
I can’t think of anyone on the planet that is better positioned when it comes to discovering new music than Pete Tong. He has mad a very successful career out of it, from his Essential Selection on Radio 1 through to his constant touring across the world so, when he decides to put together a compilation you know it’s one to look out for. Add the fact that he has enlisted Booka Shade as compilation compatriots and it becomes one of the must have albums of the year! 2011 saw the ‘all gone’ brand capture headlines through a slew of first class parties featuring some of the biggest stars on the electronic scene and 2012 looks set to be much more of the same. Pete Tong has a unique ability to bring artists from different genres together under the one party roof, mixing underground protagonists with global superstars with ease and delivering unforgettable memories. Calvin Harris is set to join the likes of Seth Troxler and Maya Jane Coles in the Pacha DJ booth throughout the Fridays of this summer as the party looks to take things to the next level.
2012 also saw the ‘all gone’ brand branch out from the island and start introducing itself around the world; from the sell out tour of the UK to an exclusive Moscow show followed by the legendary Miami pool party and the Pacha Festival in Holland, things couldn’t be better. Groove Armada joined Pete on ‘All Gone Miami 12’, a compilation that is still grabbing headlines.
Boka Shade made a huge impact on the Pacha crowd during their party last summer, the duo bobbed and danced their way through a pulsating set that had the capacity crowd on tender hooks. Their ability in the booth every bit as effective as in the studio, a fact that is underlined further by the two exclusive productions included in the ‘All Gone Ibiza 12’ package. They returned to Pacha with Pete Tong on June 8 2012, resulting in another roof raising performance. Fresh from supporting Leftfield at Brixton Academy in aid of War Child, Booka Shade’s festival schedule includes Sonar, Lovebox, Great Escape, Forbidden Fruit, Sumol Summer Fest, Touch The Air Festival, Ardentes Festival and beyond. Arno & Walter state their mix “represents what Ibiza means to us”.
