Al Fresco At Aura

Aura is one of Ibiza’s finest outdoor dining experiences, set in beautiful gardens, it’s one of the finest places in the world to enjoy a fresh cocktail and select from a menu, which clearly has had a lot of thought put into it. With summer almost upon us, Essential Ibiza lifts the lid on what you can expect from Aura this season…

What’s new at Aura for 2011?
This year we have a beautiful new menu created by Caroline Seeley, our executive chef, that will be supplemented with fresh produce from our new kitchen garden and cooked on our new outdoor grill. We have also commissioned a stunning tent that will cover the whole garden for the chilly nights. So we will be open whatever the weather. As well as host of exciting new nights which will shortly be announced on our new website www.auraibiza.com.

Describe a typical evening in Aura?
Eat in open-air luxury, drink fabulous cocktails under the stars and then step inside and party to the sounds of a world class DJ.

What makes Aura a must visit Ibiza destination?
Nowhere combines dining and partying with as much of a sense of style and fun as Aura: Kylie might have played the super clubs last August but it was Aura she headed to afterwards to relax and party with her friends.

What has you most excited about the 2011 season?
The return of our favourite nights such as Wax Da Jam with their soon to be announced special guests, DJ Antz with his hands in the air classics and Ernesto Altes with his ibizencan night Just House.

What is the best thing about living in Ibiza?
The weather, the food, the beaches, the parties and the people

How does the island inspire you?
We have used the island and it’s natural beauty to inspire every element of Aura from the interiors which feature peach, gold, pink and sand hues for the colour themes, to reflect Ibiza’s famous sunsets – to the stunning garden restaurant, which is full of orange blossom, mature grapevines, tall palm trees, fragrant citrus orchards and lush Mediterranean vegetation.

You got the day/ night off, how would you spend it?
Jump on the Aura boat to Formentera, then back to Ibiza for dinner at La Paloma and then on to the Funky Room at Pacha to dance the night away with Vaughn.
