07800 Boutique sits in a row of shops just behind the port. Only two years old but I feel that this shop has made a big impact on our little white isle. With some great shoots under their Thai belts they are standing tall above the tiendas in the town. Thailand has held my heart in the winter for the last couple of years. So when I found this colourful collection of Thai treasures I was very excited, 07800 re-work vintage fabric into their bags, boots, men’s and womenswear, travelling all over Thailand sourcing their beautiful fabrics, fabrics that were originally constructed by ethnic tribes to decorate temples in Laos, Burma and Thailand.
I think it is a wonderful idea to fuse Ibiza’s bohemian style and craftsmanship with Thailand’s colourful vintage fabrics and skill. Each boot and bag is constructed by hand by talented artisan folk in Ibiza and Thailand. This brand has the perfect mix; sourcing vintage fabrics on its Thai travels creating hand made, bohemian, Ibiza inspired pieces. I feel this is one of the reasons this boutique has enjoyed great success over the last two years, they sell wonderful one-off items created from Asian history. 07800 are one hundred percent unique and one hundred percent breathtakingly beautiful! Owner, Natalie Kuntz- Bengert really does have a unique vision.
This boutique is famed for its footwear, with a selection of calf and knee length leather boots adorned in its beautiful vintage fabrics, each boot is totally unique. All of its banging boots are hand crafted, each piece created with careful precision, with a colour palette of maroons, greens and white leathers and a rainbow of colours in its vintage fabrics. These boots are keeping many a foot fabulous this summer, a sea of Ibicenco princesses are trotting round Dalt Vila in the 07800 boot! It has a great collection of jewellery that will make the hippy chica’s go nuts – bracelets with bells and feather earrings. The jewellery is created using a technique called Macramé, a form of textile using knotting rather than weaving. All of the jewellery in 07800 is created in Ibiza, I’m always very passionate about the artisan creations of Ibiza, and it’s so nice to be able to shop surrounded by homegrown items fused with skills and fabrics from across the world.
But girls, you need to take a look at the BAGS! These large leather creations are on trend treasures, coming in an array of sizes they are sure to make you stand out wherever you are. With a colourful selection of clutch, knitted, leather and purely fabric there is something for everyone – fringed, beaded, feathered, pompoms and embroidery. 07800 have a SERIOUS selection of bags. The shop offers a unisex mix of waistcoats and hareem trousers, knitted tie-dye dresses, feathered wedges and embroidered key purses, the selection is endless. Part of my heart belongs to Thailand, the calmness, the colour and the creativity, all of this is captured through 07800’s exquisite items, my favourite hippy haven for all the fabaloo Ibiza chicas.
